3.07 VM Thoughts (Not happy)

I don't think I have EVER disliked Veronica more. I may have actually hated her. That little snide response when Logan asked where she the night before was followed by "did I get that right? Was that the right inflection?" God, I wanted to slap her.

I felt soooooooooooo bad for Logan, but I didn't for Keith. Yes, she was judgmental about Keith, but I agreed with her, so. I was glad she mentioned the Jake/Lianne thing.

The ending was good, but guh, I wanted to punch Piz when he was facing Logan at the door. And then I wanted to go back and retroactively slap Veronica -- she STAYED WITH PIZ! OHMYGOD!! And then she's being judgmental about Logan!?!?! Flat out telling him she doesn't trust him; she's blackmailing him!?!?! Gah. I really, really, really DID NOT like Veronica in this episode -- she was so damn judgmental about every guy -- Landry, Sully, Keith, Logan and she was wrong about all of them (except Keith and even he came through).

But, hey two sleeping Logan shots. That was niiice. And damn, for his few scenes, Jason was REALLY on tonight. (Of course it helped that he was given something to work with.) And gotta give CL his due, he played that scene as if Piz was cheering inside during the whole scene with Logan.

I'm reading great reaction from most everyone else, but I'm sorry an "exciting" ending and Veronica realizing (momentarily I'm sure) what a bitch she's been does not a great episode make for me.

You know me and the Piz....no love lost on me tonight.

Logan did get kicked around, but it was great to see Logan really reacting to something again.

Need to watch again and really process.

He is dead to me now. After that doorway scene? Completely dead. There is nothing Rob can do with this character that will not make me hate him absolutely. He's dead.

And NOT a good guy.

Poor Logan. I'm really not looking forwad to writing up the LoVe scenes; I'm really not. Fucking depressing.

You know I've been all about not trusting Piz from the beginning, and now I really have a reason to hate him all the more.

I wouldn't want to write those recaps either...sorry!

Eh, it's okay. I actually have more to write when there is angst and it's only four scenes as opposed to the high number I've had to do lately.

Oh, well, I got out my issues by writing a ficlet, but there's a post about it at my journal.

Good luck writing this week.

Veronica really does need a good shake. You gotta love the irony of her being completely baffled by that girl's complete trust in her boyfriend and basically telling her she was being stupid for it, and it turns out she was right and Veronica was wrong. But hey, she did apologize for jumping to conclusions for once! Ugh.

And Piz.. seriously. He couldn't have made that conversation more suspiscious if he tried.

I thought the ep was just pretty boring, but I did love the ending so.. yeah. I'll just forget the rest.

Yeah, I just love these heavy-handed parallels. Snort. I hate Piz so much. SOOO MUCH!

I agree Jennifer, I really, really disliked Piz last night. And Veronica's only acting mode seemed to be I'm a cold, heartless bitch.

Jason did a great job and it was nice to see him do more than eat fries and I liked Vinnie and I am now wondering if Harmony is some sort of set up for Keith (ala The Maltese Falcon). I liked Mercer and I really didn't mind the believing in laser's girlfriend. She seemed nice if that's a word you can use in Veronica world.

But that doorway scene has really ended any chances I am giving Piz. I so wanted to smack him. But then I would have had to smack Veronica too and she would have tasered me. Because lounging out in your pj's in a guy's room is not going to give him any ideas. Nooooooo.

Oh and in the not minding the girl, I didn't mean she did a good job acting or anything. Her acting was very, very over the top. I just didn't mind her storyline and got the contrast they were doing.

The actress now that's another story. But I kind of put her in the Kristin Cavilleri slot - lame guest actors that don't cost very much and we don't give any direction too.

I did try to give Piz a chance, and I found moments I liked, but that doorway scene JUST killed it. Veronica, eh? Not a fan this episode. Self-righteous, self-entitled bitch.

Jason was awesome.

I agree a hundred percent
This is the whole crux of my wanting to shake Veronica by the shoulders until her brains begin to work again.

Logan in the past behaved badly and occasionally like all eighteen yera olds he makes a mistake. Veronica HAS to stop judging him for his behavior when he was sixteen, if she can't than she has no business being in a relationship with him. (and I love the two of them together)

I really hope Logan calls her on her hypocrisy. Prime example what would Veronica have done if she had come to the suite looking for Logan and found Parker there, and Parker said she'd slept over in the suite when Logan was there even when nothing happened - She'd be on his a** so fast all of our heads would spin. Yet she wants Logan to be okay with the fact that she slept in the dorm room when Piz was there (granted he was on the floor - but Logan knows Piz has feelings for her) She wants to be trusted with her actions yet she won't reciprocate.

Veronica doesn't seem to be trying. It's like she telling Logan there is absolutley nothing you can ever do to make me trust you. And Logan is suppose to want to stay in this relationship.

What do you want to bet when they break up, if he goes out on a date with someone else, she's going to act like he is the bad guy. RT has his work cut out for him, because Veroica needs to do some serious growing up. JMHO. I can't wait to see how you dissect their scenes.

Re: I agree a hundred percent
Right, he's 18, of course he's going to make mistakes. Something that Veronica obviously won't allow.

There are no words for how wrong Veronica treated Logan every step of the way this episode. She really doesn't deserve him.

Oh, I'm sure she'll get high and mighty if she doesn't approve of what he does when they break up.

While I have not been happy with Veronica this season AT ALL, I'm going to have to somewhat defend her actions here. I don't think I could have accepted a "just trust me" from Logan in this instance either. Good relationships are built on trust and Logan still owes that account a bit (although so does Veronica). Yes, she should realize that he wasn't doing anything shady but the fact that Mercer refused to give an alibi instead preferring to remain in jail was a pretty big clue that something was terribly off. I would have needed to know too. So I cannot at all blame her for that even if she did have to blackmail my beloved Logan. He should have trusted her enough to tell her. Yes, I know, but he has to give trust in order to earn it.

However, there were some things she did this episode that made me cringe. First, she was again absolutely right that Keith was behaving very irresponsibly but it would have been better had she given him some compassion. "Dad, I know you're lonely and she's great but..." How hard would that have been? I think it would have made the situation between them even deeper because it would have been Keith making his decision based not on Veronica's wishes but because it was the right thing to do. Second, she should NOT have been staying in Piz's room with him there. Period. She knows better. She knows that it will be hurtful to Logan (and, as someone else mentioned, she would be all over him were the situation reversed) and she knows that it's not fair to Piz either if she has no intention of being with him. Which I devoutly hope is the truth. And in the spirit of giving trust to get it, she should have told Logan where she was staying. She could have (if she really wanted to rub it in) say, "See, I'm honest with you even when I know it's something you won't like." Third, she was awful to Logan when he finally did tell her the truth. Yes, it wasn't his finest hour but he didn't really do anything wrong. He escaped a burning building and in his inebriated, half asleep, 18 years old and not a firefighter state, he did nothing to help anyone. I don't really see that she could have expected (wished for is another matter) different. The fact that Logan would rather risk her anger over his secrecy versus sharing with her his dark secrets should clue her in that there is something majorly wrong with their relationship.

Anyway, I didn't mean to write a book but I did want to say I couldn't blame Veronica for being angry with Logan over his secrecy. She was partially to blame for it but I would have done what she did to get the truth. Relationships based on secrets aren't hot, they're over.

Hah, "Relationships based on secrets aren't hot, they're over." Great line.

Sigh, I see where you're coming from ... grr, I'm just sooo tired of her self-entitled, hypocritical attitude!!! Gah!
