To quote the always awesome Rachel Maddow: 'Oh My God!'
I managed to watch most of the first night of the Democratic National Convention before I went to work. As the key speaker of the night, I was only able to see the first five minutes or so of Michelle Obama's speech. The rest would have to wait until I got home this morning. In the meantime, I read superlative after superlative about the speech. Someone even said that President Obama -- a brilliant orator -- was going to have go double-time to top her speech. Even after the brilliance of Patrick Deval's speech, and Julien Castro's (not to mention the great speeches by Tammy Duckworth, Lilly Ledbetter and just about every other speaker at the podium tonight), the First Lady's speech was in a class of its own.

Well, I just finished watching her speech and I can only agree. I spent the last five minutes of it literally crying. It was magnificent. She was magnificent. And I am so proud to say that this woman is my country's First Lady. If you haven't watched it, if you missed it, find the time and watch it. There are no words for how right it was.

I stood up in my living room and gave her my own standing ovation when she finished. She was unbelievable last night.

So fantastic. So FIERCE. Man, I love her.

I saw a clip of Barack saying that every time he watched her speak he got misty eyed. He was probably down right weepy last night. She did him proud. She did this country proud.

I was mesmerized, moved, misty-eyed, and rocked to my core by her speech. She was magnificent. She was fierce. And most importantly, she spoke from the heart and she spoke the truth. Her genuine, caring, and honest nature shone brightly and once again captured not only my attention and my vote, but my proud American heart!

I watched it while on the elliptical at the gym and I was definitely tearing up at times. It was such a well done speech. I'm so proud to have her as my First Lady.

That speech was everything that every speech needs to be. She brings such a great humanity to her husband in a way that I think he sometimes has trouble doing. And to see how passionate she is about her husband, family, and what she believes in is just so great. Gah! I just love her, and have the biggest girl crush on her. She gives me all the feels!

Amazing speech! I think she is really a amazing woman. I'm not a American, but I so hope President Obama wins again. Hm...I think I need a icon none the less. *lol*
