The Colorado Theater Shooting
12 dead, 50 wounded. (USA Today | CNN | BBC -- with timeline)

My heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones.

ETA: Statement from President Obama:

Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado. Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my Administration will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time. We are committed to bringing whoever was responsible to justice, ensuring the safety of our people, and caring for those who have been wounded. As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as one American family. All of us must have the people of Aurora in our thoughts and prayers as they confront the loss of family, friends, and neighbors, and we must stand together with them in the challenging hours and days to come.

People are losing their damn minds left and right! It's such a tragedy. Innocent people trying to enjoy life by seeing a movie and a lunatic with guns and God knows what else takes his anger, rage, craziness, etc. out on them :(

This is awful. :(

Here we're usually not faced with that kind of shooting but even we recently had a monster shooting kids at a school... He just arrived at the school and shot the kids in the head... just because they were Jews. We still don't understand how a so-called normal guy could have done something so horrible.

The world is just insane. :(

Poor people in that theater and their families. What a senseless crime.

Just wow. I just woke up around when it was reported. It's a sad day, it shows the real evil and what insanity can do. This man wanted infamy and he got it. I loved Obama's statement especially this:
It's beyond reason. But while we will never know fully what causes somebody to take the life of another, we do know what makes life worth living. And if there's anything to take away from this tragedy it's the reminder that life is very fragile, our time here is limited and it is precious, and what matters at the end of the day is not the small things, it's not the trivial things which so often consume us and our daily lives. Ultimately, it's how we choose to treat one another and how we love one another. It's what we do on a daily basis to give our lives meaning and to give our lives purpose. That's what matters. You know, at the end of the day, what we'll remember will be those we loved and what we did for others. That's why we're here.

Just thoughts and prayers to their loved ones.
