Ah well, a little teeny bit of bad with the great
It's not a huge deal, and obviously doesn't effect real life at all, but Paul Wesley (Stefan, The Vampire Diaries) canceled at Dragon*Con. He's not my fave (he's fourth on my list of faves on the show, but I still totally love him to bits!), but I really, really was looking forward to seeing him. In fact, after I got the job (obligatory squee!!), I was seriously pondering if I still wanted to go to Dragon*Con and instead spend the weekend getting my stuff together, chilling before getting back into the real world again, but the thought of seeing Paul Wesley put an end to that. I really wanted to see him, so Dragon*Con was a go.

And now he won't be there. I love Summer Glau, Michelle Forbes, and I did want to go, but with lack of limitless free time coming up, without Paul Wesley (a part of my current obsession), I've decided to go with the free weekend and save $100.00 in the meantime.

I want you to go to Dragon Con!!!

Here's what I would do! Spend the rest of today getting ready for Monday. No tv, no internet just focus on doing what you need to do to be ready for Monday.

Enjoy Dragon Con Thurs, Fri, and Sat! Skip Sunday. No tv or internet on Sunday and go to bed early! Spend the whole day Sunday resting and preparing for Monday!

Or maybe go Thurs and Fri and skip Sat and Sunday. Half is better than nothing!
Think about it, Do you really need four days to get ready for Monday? If so that's fine, but I hate to see you miss out on Dragon Con!!!

Nah. I was even thinking last night before I knew -- do I REALLY want to go knowing that my days as an unemployed slug with limitless time is coming to an end? And I was inclined towards no, but then thought: "But I really, really want to see Paul Wesley." So he was literally my absolute main reason for going. Without him there, I'd be thinking I could be at home doing this, or that, or etc. So this works out better. It does.

Aww, I'm sorry he cancelled. But it sounds like you're making the best decision for you right now. I hope everything with your new job goes well. :)
