'Stargate: Universe' Verdict - Thumbs Up!
I'm definitely intrigued. It's reminiscent of both Star Trek: Voyager, Farscape and Battlestar Galactica, but it has its own feel. I quite, quite liked it.

Robert Carlyle as the lead good guy/bad guy (who knows at this point) is, as always, wonderful. David Blue continues to be wonderful and adorable. Ming-Na (I've liked her since her days on As the World Turns) has a great steel to her in the role. As for newcomers, Elyse Levesque as Chloe and Brian J. Smith as Lt. Scott are great, and already are showing a really nice chemistry.

This one has some excellent potential.

So I am about halfway done with the pilot (or miniseries really) but I like it and have already planned out icons.

I'm definitely willing to give it a go for a few more weeks - I'd watch Robert Carlyle read the phonebook, but I also liked the boy genius, and the lieutenant. The medic's interesting, as is Ming-Na's character. The music's also good.
