Dollhouse - Awesome!!!
Bottom-line, Dollhouse really does kick ass. It's such a shame that it will most likely be canceled because it really is turning out to be quite an excellent show. Sure the two leads (Eliza Dushku and Tamoh Penikett) are by far the weakest links, but neither of them is horrible. They are both good (with Penikett being better than Dushku), with enough moments of great here and there (with Penikett delivering more than Dushku) to make them work. Still, despite their lack of OMYGOD!greatness, the rest of the cast is SO FRICKIN' PHENOMENAL that they make up for it. And the best continues to be Enver Gjokaj as Victor. This guy is just amazing. If the show does get canceled, if there is any justice in casting, he WILL get something else. And whatever he gets? I'm there. He is AWESOME!!!

Hee! the delivery of the line was probably my favorite single moment of the entire episode. Again. Gjokaj is JUST amazing, I love him, I love him, I love him. I LOVE HIM! And so when Alpha stabbed him, my first thought was, "He better not be dead!!! If he's dead, I'm done watching the show. One episode left, a renewal, whatever, I'm DONE!" Then I realized he likely wasn't dead and so my third thought was, "Man, they de-pretti-fied Victor!!!!" Poor woobie Victor!!!

Yeah, so speaking of awesome actors ... Alan Tudyk. OH. MY. GOD!! He was even more amazing than I ever could have imagined. I just really wish so much now that I hadn't read the spoilers about him playing Alpha, because was so believable (and likable!) as Stephen. Uunfortunately, I spent the whole time wondering how he was "Stephen" and Alpha both. I thought that maybe he was somehow stuck on one of the implants, but I knew it was also possible he was just playing Paul the whole time. Which, of course, he was, but how much more awesome would that turn had been had I not known he was Alpha? Because Tudyk just completely kicked ass in the acting department.

Not much DeWitt, but we got some great Langton tonight. That was some long-drawn-out, but not in a boring way fight between him and Ballard. And, aww, we saw the connection between he and Echo is still there. But what about the connection between Echo and Alpha? Or Caroline? Or whatever the hell is going on with the previews!?!?!? So much worth tuning in for ...

Random thingies ...

- I love Mellie and I'm so saddened that her heart is broken and she doesn't understand why. And then Paul's face when he saw Mellie was so lacking in anything, while he had this look of practically love when he saw Echo. And, dude, that was just wrong. It's not about the logical of what Mellie-out-of-character told him, his reactions to them told the story. There should have been pain and regret and love over seeing Mellie, but he's clearly already written her off. Mellie was right all along, she really was never anything more than a substitute for his obsessive love for Caroline. Poor Mellie.

- Okay, so was I the only one who totally thinks that Dr. Sanders is an implant now and that she's actually a Doll, who's just established long-term there now? Because Victor as Dominick called her "Whiskey." I don't think he was asking for whiskey to drink, although that was clearly what we were supposed to think. No, he was calling her "Whiskey," as in the military alphabet (with W - Whiskey) like the other Dolls.

Anyhoo, another fabulous episode. Such a shame that this and Terminator are likely canceled, both are so damn good. Ah well.

It was such an amazing episode. I was really blown away.

I think Dr. Saunders is a doll too, for the same reason! That's too random a line to just throw in there, otherwise. And the actor playing Victor is shockingly good. Like, he's unbelievable.

Victor is by far the best actor among the dolls, and really impressed me with his "Dominick" role (as he has with every single role he's had the chance to show off).

And Alan Tudyk! Whoa. I'd been spoiled, too, but he played the neurotic character so well, I was starting to think the spoilers were wrong.

Yeah, Victor and Alan Tudyk were awesome. I didn't know about the spoilers so I was totally shocked when it turned out Stephen was Alpha... but my boyfriend started yelling out "I knew it! I knew it!" (As an aside, it may bode well for the show's renewal prospects if someone like him has gotten drawn in -- he doesn't normally go for Whedon shows or anything with even a slight sci-fi angle.)

I don't like Ballard much, but I do identify with him about Mellie. I don't like her character much either and I'm not sure what it is -- programmed to be a love-sick puppy dog for someone who doesn't return the affection... I can't get past that. Still, it was sad to see the contrast in Ballard's reactions when looking at sleeping Mellie vs. sleeping Caroline.

See I had read the spoilers, and then someone told me that they had been reported as fake. So I was COMPLETELY in shock when that whole turn around happened. Victor...yeah. I have no words, that guy I want to see in so much more.

I agree that I think Dr.Saunders is a Doll. I really really hope this doesn't get canceled, after losing Pushing Daisies I don't want to lose another.(especially with moffatt taking over Who)

Add me to the list of people who think Echo/Alpha, is somewhere along the lines of Sierra/Victor, especially since both Echo and Alpha seem to be retaining their imprints. (well, we were told Alpha retained the skills from his way back in the beginning)

I never knew they were named by the military alphabet lolz. Wow, I'm stupid. XD

I think Claire may be a doll too...

oh yes my dear you hit all the nails right on the head re: acting and cancelling. i think you're totally right about dr acker *snerk* i didn't get the whiskey thing until i read your post! makes perfect sense. oh the infiltration is infiltratingly infiltrated!

i have always had a thing for alan tudyk so i'm thrilled to see him here and as always turning in a stellar performance. he always strikes me as an incredibly intelligent actor. ooh i love him!

y/y re: paul's reaction to mellie. kinda broke my heart--but i wasn't sure if we were dealing with tp's mediocre acting or sad direction.

it was a great ep and i was sorry when it was over! and i'll be even sorrier if it's not renewed (along with tscc--that will be a damn crying shame).

That episode was pretty much amazing. I was LOLing over Alan Tudyk's character at first, and I was thinking, "Isn't he supposed to be Alpha?" and for a while I thought maybe he wasn't, of coarse until the big reveal. And next week looks even MORE amazing.

Enver Gjokaj HOOOLY CRAP. I was so creeped during his Mr. Dominick scenes. He WAS Mr. Dominick. That was some badass acting.

And if I hadn't been spoiled for Alan Tudyk's appearance/role I would've totally bought into his wacky design character. Did he just manipulate his way in or did he have a relapse back to insanity? I don't get it, but I want to keep watching! I hope this doesn't go away just yet. It's just getting to be good :(

It makes me SO sad that this show will be canceled... if it does I'm totally watching whatever else the guy that plays Victor works in next. He's SO pretty.

And, GOD, Alan! I've missed him. He was AWESOME!!!

I don't know what the deal with Dominic calling Claire Whiskey is, but that is an interesting idea. Does that mean Topher's a doll too?

I did really like everything in this episode those. The way they played with the Briar Rose story got me.
