Just watched 'Ratatouille'
I totally get the critical love for it. I probably would rewatch the Toy Story's, Cars, Monster Inc., A Bug's Life, Finding Nemo more (Not too big a fan of The Incredibles) for humor value, but in terms of the overall quality? I'd give it to Ratatouille hands down. I thought it was beautiful. Unrealistic, of course, but the core of the story, the message (be true to yourself) was beautifully written, executed and conveyed. I don't mind confessing that I cried at the end.

Beautiful, beautiful work. This is a great film. A truly great film.

Pixar hits ANOTHER one out of the park.

I never underestimate Pixar, but I was still stunned when the credits rolled the first time I saw Ratatouille. If they hadn't gotten the Oscar for it, I probably would have rioted.

It really, really was a beautiful movie. If anything else had won, it would have been a complete travesty.

I'm assuming you read what I had to see about Rataouille? I prefer everything else to it. I don't remember what was nominated against it so I don't know if I thought something else should win.

Re: rats
Yeah, I saw what you said. Julie and Tot didn't like it either. So I was curious and actually really thinking that I would be disappointed. I actually kept waiting to be disappointed so I was surprised at how much I loved it considering I generally am on the same wavelength movie-wise with all three of you.

It's just one of those rare instances where our opinions differed.

It was a wonderful movie; I don't know that actor, but he did a great job.
