Arya & Gendry02

Eleventh Hour's Rachel/Hood the next Mulder/Scully?

Yes, the similarities between the two shows has been mentioned here and there, but they were based on the premise and not the relationship factor. Now I could be completely wrong, completely crazy, completely something, but I think it's possible that the Eleventh Hour's Hood/Rachel could become this decade's X-Files's Mulder/Scully. I know, I know it sounds crazy because on the surface other than the FBI being involved and them being male/female leads, how could I even entertain the thought? I mean, hello, it's MULDER AND SCULLY!!! Collapse )

Does anyone agree? Or, uhm, even watch 11H on my flist?

'Life' is picked up for a FULL SEASON!! WOOHOO!!

I admit that I'm not loving Life as much as I did last season, Collapse ) still I do believe it can safely be said that I still LOVE this show overall because when I read this: NBC has given a full season order to detective drama "Life," my reaction was:

AAAAH!HH!H!H!H!H!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of joy.

So woohoo to a full season of Life, and hopefully they get all their ducks in a row crackling again.

Hee!!! Christopher Eccleston with a Scottish Accent!!

I'm watching Shallow Grave -- second time, but it's been years -- on my way to going through all of Christopher Eccleston, Billie Piper, David Tennant and Catherine Tate's filmogrophies. I'm about ten seconds in and the film begins with Eccleston's character narrating ... and he's using a Scottish accent!!.

Please tell me I'm not the only Doctor-fan squeeing over this just because of the Tennant-Scottish connection? Please tell me I'm not alone here.

Steven Moffat is Naked

shinyopals mentioned that she was writing a massive post (I can't wait to read it) on why Steven Moffat is not her favorite writer. It reminded me of one of my "To Do" things that's been on the list for about three months: Write a post about why I don't like Steven Moffat. I figured that I might as well get off my duff and do it now so as to not be influenced by her no-doubt brilliant insights. As of yet, her essay is not posted yet, but if you're not on her flist, keep an eye out for it because I'm sure you'll enjoy the read if you're anti-Moffat. In the meantime, I give you my much-less verbose (I know, ME!) take on why Steven Moffat is not my favorite writer.

ETA: shinyopal's massive, and I do mean, massive! post is up. Check it out here.
