LJ question
Is there a way to block a specific lj-user so that even if they post on someone else on your flist, you never, ever have to read them. If this is possible, I really need to know that info so I can apply it pronto.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about a set ban? There's a way you can stop someone from commenting on your posts, but not someone else's.

I can't remember the command right now, but it's set-ban: username or something like that (I think it's set_ban, but I can't remember the rest.)

I'm assuming you mean like if they comment on another post you're reading, you don't want to have to see their comments?

If so, I would think there's probably no way to do this, though I completely understand the sentiment. I have a couple people that I would love to be able to just block out, but no such luck (heck maybe the same as your person--but no naming names!). The only thing I can suggest is if you're in a post that you think they might be reading or you think there may be comments that you have no interest in reading, make sure to look at the username of the comment before reading any of the comment, and if it's them, scroll right past it. It's hard, I know, but I've gotten to where I have to do that for certain people.

Banning a user, does that help? I don't know if you can have posts remain invisible from other people's LJs though, maybe you should ask someone on staff.
