'The Hobbit' - awesome! :)
I watched The Hobbit today. Loved it. I thought it fit quite perfectly into the LoTR universe, and although I heard tons that it "dragged" in places, I wasn't bored at all. I'm thrilled that there will be two more movies and I'm sure I'll love those too. I was surprised though about Richard Armitage's role. I didn't realize that he essentially had the warrior-hero role that Viggo Mortenson as Aragorn had in LoTR. Good call!

I'm glad to hear that it was good. That seems to be the general consensus, as far as I know. I have never been a fan of LoTR, but neither is my sister and she really liked The Hobbit. So, I might still see it.

Loved everything about The Hobbit. I don't think it dragged hardly at all. Granted the giant fantasy nerd in me never notices lulls in those movies.

Yeah, I don't get where those complaints came from. Someone said 'there were TWO songs in the opening dwarf scene, and I'm thinking, uh yeah, because it established different facets of their characters. Duh.
