For the TVD-lovers on my list only --
Well, the ones who read my long-ass rambling TVD reviews. A few questions ...

- Should I go back and do all of the season 01 episodes starting the next hiatus (and no doubt through the summer months of hiatus hell)? As of now, only "Miss Mystic Falls" has a write-up. Would there be any reason in reading/responding to such?

- I noticed that during busy times there were some comments I never got around to responding to in some past episode write-ups. Should I respond to those now, or has too much time passed? (We are talking some episodes from season 02 as well as season 03).

No, not really (for question 1). Unless you feel the need to.

It's never too late to respond to comments. :)

It's just an idea I've been playing with because I have these long lovely posts about the episodes post season 02 (but more lordy, they've certainly gotten longer and more rambling since mid-season 02 and just keep on growing, eek!). And you know how anal I am about having it all complete. I don't know, I don't know. That's why I'm taking the decision out of my hands, LOL!

Do it if you feel you need to or want to. It isn't necessary for really anyone for you to do so, but I'm sure people will read them if you do write them up.

You do have a novel you want to be working on, so you could better spend the time during the hiatus working on that. Just saying. ;)

I know, I know. I can do both, though, right? Ugh! I will post the first chapter of that to my little group over the weekend. With so many of those involved being in the TVD fandom, posting it any sooner seems kinda silly with a new TVD arriving after six weeks of hiatus hell, LOL!

You could, but if you want to work on this book and get it done, that is what you should focus your creative energy on, instead of writing 22 long, rambling posts about season 1. Maybe only write a post if you get stuck working on your book. ;)
Arabian: Billie Piper_07arabian on January 5th, 2012 07:07 pm (UTC)
21 posts. 21 posts! Ep 19 is done. LOL!

Yeah, that could be a good push. Ugh. I dunno. Let's get the chapters out there and even see if it's worth pursuing. UGH! Seriously, I do know my brain though, I'll need a creative outlet beyond the book or I'll get frustrated. It's not the post-writing, icon-time-making that detracts from book-writing time. It's the time-wasting refreshing the same fricking six pages over again, and reading pages upon pages of stupid comments on ONTD. Basically internet-time wasting when I SHOULD be writing! That's what I need to stop doing. I'm just so -- gah, I've been unable to do it on my own, thus opening it up to a group of people to collectively kick my ass and cheer me on (if the book is worth writing). I can write a good couple thousand words at a sitting ... I just am not doing the "sitting and writing" part.

Ugh, stupid problems that I've created myself.

Hahaha! Sorry, 21 posts. :)

Well, you know me. I'm here to do the ass-kicking, along with the cheerleading and proof-reading. I will be making sure that the book (if you choose to pursue it) is always the first bit of writing you do. ;)

I was thinking that a good idea might be to take a week per chapter once hiatuses hit and don't watch the ep/do the post until I write that chapter for that week. And non-hiatus just try and get some writing in here and there. Like I just put up in a locked post for me only the entire outline, so I can work on it in free moments at work too.

Respond to comments is you feel like responding to them... coz about comments (well I can talk about mine..) they are sort of feedbacks on what you wrote and are basically agreeing to what your thoughts along with some of the lacing of thoughts of the person who is commenting...

About TVD reviews of past seasons... please do.... I would love to read 'em.... I wasn't able to follow through all of your early works.... and going back and searching everything seems a little too tedious (sorry :P) so it'll be awesome if you decide to write 'em again....

Oh, if you want to read the season 02/03 ones you missed, just click on this tag: ep discussion-tvd -- I made a specific tag JUST for the episode reviews, LOL. There's also The Vampire Diaries tag that contains ONLY TVD-related posts. (It does include the ep reviews, but also icons, graphics, fanfic, fanvids, meta posts.) I make my TVD posts very easy to find, LOL!

Thanks for replying. :)

I want to read them, the wordier and ramblier the better for me! I will even make the effort to comment on them all.
Arabian: Damon03arabian on January 5th, 2012 05:51 pm (UTC)
Awww! Thank you. (Well, that makes two for, one against!)
Bogwitchbogwitch on January 5th, 2012 06:03 pm (UTC)
Reading good chewy meta and reviews is my favourite fandom thing now that my writing muse has ground to a halt. I might be lousy at getting involved in the discussion at more than a superficial level, but I'll always be reading and enjoying!
x5valex5vale on January 5th, 2012 06:21 pm (UTC)
- Would be interesting to read them..my only doubt is that probably you could see things differentely from how you would have seen them without having seen S2 and S3. If this makes sense :)

- I think you could respond. It's always good to talk about TVD :)
Arabian: Damon & Elena14arabian on January 5th, 2012 06:50 pm (UTC)
Yeah, that would be the hardest thing, but I would try and watch them without talking about what I know is to come. I know things will slip, but I actually have experience in doing this to a degree in other fandoms.

Older comments respondage seems to be winning. :)
x5valex5vale on January 6th, 2012 09:07 am (UTC)
Then go, I will read your reviews :)

It's never too late to reply to comments, however it's your journal, so you don't need to reply if you don't feel like it! ;D

You know how much I LOVE your reviews, so I'd be very happy to read your commments on S1 episodes! ♥
vanimy: D/Evanimy on January 5th, 2012 11:43 pm (UTC)
1) If you feel up to the challenge, please please do! I'd love to read more TVD reviews from you! And I for one would like to see season 1 put in perspective with the later seasons.

2) I don't really have an opinion on the matter, if you feel like it, do it, if not, don't, it's okay. :)
cwaterwheel on January 8th, 2012 10:35 am (UTC)
go for it if you have the time, I'd say!

we probably haven't met so sorry for randomly barging in, but I just started on TVD and the fandom, I'm looking to add some TVD to my flist, and I think your posts are great. don't feel obliged to add me back, but yeah, just wanted to introduce myself. :)
