TV Guide Comic Con Covers -- Good Choices!
Avoiding the depressing morass of hell that is my real life and concentrating on anything to make me happy here. TV Guide is featuring four Comic Con covers, and lo and behold! of the four, three of them feature three of my five favorite tv shows (Community and The Good Wife, as grand as they are, really don't fit the Comic-Con theme, so I'm cool with that). Still, The Vampire Diaries!! The Big Bang Theory!! and Fringe!! all got covers. YEEHAW!!! And my couple girl is satisfied because my couples per show are next to each other in a way that one can delusionally (in two of the three) say is shippy!

It frustrates me that shows like The Office and stuff like that have panels, but Community doesn't. Community is WAAAY more geektastic than the majority of the panels they have.

I honestly think that The Big Bang Theory is the ONLY non-sci-fi/fantasy tv show that should have a panel. And that reason is because a lot of the show's humor is based on comic books, the characters are totally the type who not only would go to comic con, but they've talked about comic con onscreen. As well, they talk about sci-fi/fantasy movies ALL THE TIME. It fits the theme. But frankly no other non scifi-fantasy show does.

The closest, though? Is Community if for Abed alone. The fact that The Office has a panel (which I didn't know) is just silly. And I like The Office.

It just feels like they've sold out. I love Psych, but why does it need a panel? Why does Burn Notice need a panel? Or Dexter, or The Middle, or Bones, or Glee, or anything like that. It's ridiculous.

Yeah, frankly NONE of those are sci-fi/fantasy shows or have anything even remotely enough to fit the sci-fi/fantasy/comic-book theme. Sigh.

Never mind, Community DOES have a panel at Comic-Con: Saturday, 3:00 - 4:00, Indigo Ballroom, San Diego Hilton Bayfront. Okay, then.

Wait, which two are shippy?

Delusionally-speaking, Sheldon and Penny are next to one another (while Penny is not next to Leonard), and Peter and Olivia are, uhm, standing next to each other. The Vampire Diaries is overtly shippy for my couple. They picked a trio shot that had Elena much more cozying up to Damon than Stefan. :D

I can't wait for Fringe to return. YAY!!! I am DYING for The Vampire Diaries to return. SEPTEMBER 9th!!!!

Hah, that's probably THE most famous clip. That's Sheldon, and the girl who gave it to him is Penny. That's my ship, although, it's so far from happening on the show, LOL!

And in my icon, is the second time he gave her a hug!

Out of curiosity, who (if anyone) do you ship in Community?

First, I'm sorry life has been hard for you lately. *Hugs*

Second, cool covers! What was the show on the 4th cover?

Third, love your icon!

Yeah, I still don't have a job and my unemployment ran out. If I don't get a job and/or congress doesn't vote to extend benefits by the end of this month, I honestly do NOT know what I'm going to do.

The fourth cover was Smallville. A show that I've watched exactly six episodes of -- Ian Somerhalder's season three arc. And I have no intention of ever watching any more, LOL!

Thank you! I can't believe I didn't icon it when it first came out.

Heh, for some reason, I have an idea that the story behind cover 2 could involve someone falling over at Comic*con, and then looking up to hear a discussion about not being that kind of doctor, and no, Howard, I don't think CPR is appropriate. Sort of, 'hello, I'm Doctor Cooper...run!'

There's no doubt who is front and centre and the lead man, now.
