8. Miss Congeniality
Arabian: What's not to Love? (Logan)arabian on March 15th, 2009 08:35 pm (UTC)
Got them both. (And I was thinking the MC one was too broad, LOL! I LOVE that scene!)
But you can call me Bowie: chris ecclestonisiscaughey on March 16th, 2009 04:50 am (UTC)
Hehe, indeed. Although I have to say my favorite is Michael Caine "gliding".
Arabian: Christopher Eccleston_02arabian on March 16th, 2009 09:29 am (UTC)
Man, that movie's just chockful of goodies!

7. X-Men. I'm so sad that I know that! lol.
8. Miss Congeniality. Really?
9. A Room With the View. Now there's a favorite I share! :)
15. Uhm. Field of Dreams? (I could be wrong here).
16. Dirty Dancing.
20. Gone With the Wind.
Arabian: Logan_Hiarabian on March 15th, 2009 08:38 pm (UTC)
Got 'em all. MC is one of my feel-good movies. When I first watched it, I watched it over again righ away, then watched the commentary with Sandra Bullock. Then watched the commentary with the director. Then watched it again the next day. LOVE IT! (Wouldn't go near the sequel though. Pfft, no Benjamin Bratt! Hah!)
hiddeneloisehiddeneloise on March 16th, 2009 02:56 am (UTC)
LOL, you REALLY liked the movie. :) I did, too. Won't put in my top 20 of anything, but it was good fun. And the second one, while not having BB -- or much of a script -- had Enrique Murciano, and he is my one and only Latin crush, sooooo... :)
Arabian: Logan_Hiarabian on March 16th, 2009 09:30 am (UTC)
Aww, see I fell in love with the love story in the first one and with BB not in the second, alas, my love story ended and I refused to even acknowledge that, LOL! But, I know what we're willing to watch for those actors we so love, LOL!
hiddeneloisehiddeneloise on March 16th, 2009 04:21 pm (UTC)
But, I know what we're willing to watch for those actors we so love, LOL!

God, yes! lol. Hey, love increases tolerance, I always say. :)

1) Aliens
9) Room with a View
15) Field of Dreams
Arabian: Dr Who - Chris/Rusty/Billiearabian on March 15th, 2009 09:06 pm (UTC)
Aliens -- tied with GWTW -- is my favorite movie. LOVE IT TO BITS!!! So many great quotes to choose from, and I didn't want to go with the obvious, "Get away from her, you bitch."

The other two are right as well. :)
garfeimao: Dalek Lovegarfeimao on March 15th, 2009 09:53 pm (UTC)
Aliens is on cable a lot, particularly at night, and I always end up watching bits and pieces of it. It's funny, depending on what channel shows it, it's either the longer version or the theatrical version.

definitely lots of fun quotes.
Arabian: Billie Piper_07arabian on March 16th, 2009 09:31 am (UTC)
Yeah, definitely. Of course, most of them are profanity-laden, LOL!
She was mean and she had seashells in her hair!: gg. ll. oh so zany.dollsome on March 15th, 2009 08:44 pm (UTC)
10. The Sound of Music!
Arabian: What's not to Love? (Logan)arabian on March 15th, 2009 09:05 pm (UTC)
LOVE this movie, and that line delivery never makes me fail to break out into giggles. Man, Christopher Plummer was fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!
Giorgia: DT - dancingtazza_di_jo on March 15th, 2009 08:48 pm (UTC)
7. X-Men
16. Dirty Dancing
17. I feel like I should know this, but I can't remember...

Blimey, I don't recognize so many of these!! I'm going to blame the fact that they're in English, and I've most likely seen them dubbed in Italian, but... wow. BAD.
Arabian: David & Billie Dancingarabian on March 15th, 2009 09:03 pm (UTC)
You got the two right. Yeah, having that dubbing likely affects it. But, hey, I only got two of isiscaughey and I saw most of the movies guessed, and I STILL only got two, LOL!
mallory_mike: joshdonnamallory_mike on March 15th, 2009 09:02 pm (UTC)
I'm taking a stab in the dark here, but is number three "It's Pat"?
Arabian: Allison Janneyarabian on March 15th, 2009 09:04 pm (UTC)
Nope. "Pat" isn't actually the character's name. Good deductive try, though!
trustme1013trustme1013 on March 15th, 2009 11:37 pm (UTC)
Um, so pretty much the only one I recognize is GWTW, of course.

Still gonna snag, though.
Arabianarabian on March 16th, 2009 09:32 am (UTC)
Knowing GWTW is always worth something though. Man, Vivien Leigh was so frickin' beautiful.
Ashley Rae: TV Whoreloves_bitch1301 on March 16th, 2009 02:59 am (UTC)
#11 Guarding Tess. I haven't seen that movie in forever!
Arabian: TVarabian on March 16th, 2009 09:33 am (UTC)
Hee!! Loved that "peas" line -- that was what actually made me see the movie in the first place, it was in all the promo spots. My favorite line is actually one of the last ones: "Sit in the goddamned chair, Tess." But that might have helped give it away.
Ashley Raeloves_bitch1301 on March 16th, 2009 10:24 pm (UTC)
Probably right. But that's my favorite line from that too. Ah, I need to rent that movie now.
killingfrost87killingfrost87 on March 16th, 2009 04:54 am (UTC)
awww bummer all the ones I know are gone already.
Arabian: Veronica_Anime-Stylearabian on March 16th, 2009 09:33 am (UTC)
Aww, well, you can still put which ones you know and I'll add your name to them, I doubt you're cheating, LOL!

4 - Strange Days for the win!
Arabian: Dr Who (Ten)arabian on March 16th, 2009 09:35 am (UTC)
YES!!! I freakin' adore tihs movie. Ralph Fiennes is my favorite actor so I saw it for him, but adored the film on its own. I literally cried when it was over from emotional overload. I just love it so very much. I actually wanted the line near the beginning from Mace when she tells Lenny "don't be using this time I'm talking to think of what you're going to say," but I'm going by memory for that and I'm not sure it's the exact quote and I couldn't find it.

Anyhoo, LOVE!!! So glad someone caught that one. Woohoo!!!
eolivet on March 16th, 2009 03:21 pm (UTC)
Aww, the only one I knew was 15. Love that movie...great quote, too. :D (and I...never pegged you for a baseball fan!! Or do you just like the movie, independent of subject matter? :) I assume only baseball fans like that movie, because it's one of my husband's favorites, and he's the biggest baseball fan I know. ;p
Arabian: What's not to Love? (Logan)arabian on March 16th, 2009 08:23 pm (UTC)
Nope, not a baseball fan in the slightest, I just adore that movie so very much. It's absolutely beautiful. And this may seem like sacriliege to baseball lovers, but I really don't think the film is about baseball at all ... that's the just the frame upon which the house is built. It's about a father and son, about a family, about love. After all, the "he" didn't refer to Shoeless Joe, but to Ray's dad. And the player who became the doctor was there not for the game, but to be there so he could save Ray's daughter's life, etc.
Susan Athertonsuzloua on March 22nd, 2009 01:45 am (UTC)
Hey, don't think I've ever commented on your blog before, but I've been following your rewatch/reviews for a while :)

Anyway...

6. Hannibal Lecter, Silence of the Lambs
13. Dwight, Sin City
14. Gay Perry, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Three of my fave films too!!
Arabian: Christopher Eccleston_02arabian on March 22nd, 2009 02:58 am (UTC)
Woohoo!! And you're three for three woohoo!!!!

(PS: Re,t he rewatch/reviews, I'm not done with them, I swear. I just have been busy and I want to actually redo the PoTW one because I really should have just sat and rewatched BW before watching PotW and doing the review because it HAD been two months. Subsequently, I missed so much stuff. I really want to get to it in the next few weeks. Hopefully!
Susan Athertonsuzloua on April 4th, 2009 03:00 pm (UTC)
Oh that's cool, I was linked to the Unquiet Dead one and enjoyed it so much that I just pop back every month or so to check if you've done another one yet!

When you have time to do the next one, I'll still be reading, but I fully understand skillz so mad as yours need time to properly analyse ;)
