SYTYCD - Last night of auditions (THANK GOD!!)
A few dancers caught my eye tonight on the last (thank GOODNESS!) night of auditions ...

Evan Kasprzak - The Gene Kelly-ish dancer. Lovely, gorgeous dancing and I actually agreed with every word of the judges' comments.

Kourtni Lind - I was literally mesmerized by her performance. Just mesmerized. Wow.

Ashley (Miss Personality) was great. I do hope the lessons pay off and that she wows us with her dancing too next year.

Cooper Zamarano - He was very good and he made me smile. (And he was cute.)

Lovely job, Travis. Just lovely.

We did have the same favs. Though now I'm starting to worry about how much I liked Evan. I'm going to be really bummed if he doesn't make it.

He's GOT to make it. He has all the moves at this point to get into the top 20 AND he's unique. And both Nigel and Mary love his style of dancing. AND it will probably be Mia in Vegas with them and if she is, she will salivate over him.

I think my fave based on sheer, she must made me stop and stare is Kourtni Lind at this point, but Evan is right behind her because I actually rewound his.

I liked Kourtni but she's not my favorite. I actually think I like Kelli Baker (the HSM daughter) the most. I loved her solo. And I liked the girl in Atlanta - wasn't she a Courtney too.

I found it interesting to see what the contemporary girls who were liked were doing. A lot less technique from them in showy moves. Instead a lot of sharp power moves focusing on hands and floor work. (Kiersten's Death Came dance has all this - Robin is right on the cutting edge here). The so called competition girls were doing great technique but they didn't want to see leg turns and pirouettes and leaps as much this year. Very interesting.
