Quick (and early) 'Grease' Spoiler -- SQUEE!!!
In the midst of the gloom and doom of VM fandom, I've found something to squee about tonight. Grease commentary . So, Laura and Max are who I want to win no question, but it's been frustrating because in the whole time the show has been airing, we've YET to see the two perform together. Well!!! The opening number is recently done and Max and Laura were paired together!!! And I clapped!! And grinned!! And was sooooooooooo happy!!!!! Yay!!! They looked wonderful together!

Gloom and doom is right
I had actually figured out a way that I could actually accept VM as someone studying for the FBI, but since you know who won't be around next season, it wouldn't work.

Wow - go away for a weekend and the world explodes.

Honestly - I didn't think Max and Laura had the greatest of nights last night but I do think they will win. Did you see chemistry? Because I was looking for it and I honestly didn't see it.

Actually I loved the beginning section, but was a little disappointed in the duets. I honestly think this was no one's best night, but Austin was god-awful and if you notice in his duet with Ashley, the two barely looked at one another and it was all rehearsed and unnatural. I actually do still think that Austin/Laura have the best chemistry, but Max is so much better in every other way and the opening number which was probably rehearsed the most -- as opposed to the other one (what with the different variations they probably had to rehearse that didn't even matter with Alli and Derek gone) -- and this was only the second one they did together whereas Max/Ashley and Austin/Ashley had had several opportunities to work together.

I also found the slow song HORRIBLY arranged so it was hard to see chemistry at all; I really wish that Max/Laura had been paired the second number as opposed to the first, but oh well.
